Eyelid Aesthetic
Aging, exposure to the sun and some medical conditions can cause the eyelids to fall and skin to loosen. This may make you look older than you feel and may even affect your vision. Plastic surgery to correct this condition is called Blepharoplasty.
Poor-looking eyelids are often the first signs of aging. Drooping and puffy eyelids can make you look more tired, angry, or older than you feel.
Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) rejuvenates the eyelids for a younger, natural look and restores the lack of visibility that may have been partially occluded by the skin.
What conditions can be treated in Eyelid Aesthetic?
• the natural contour of the upper eyelid that creates folding or; loose or sagging skin
• Fat deposits that look like swelling on the eyelids
• Bags under the eyes
• Sagging of the lower eyelids that reveal white under the iris
• Fine wrinkles of lower eyelid
What is Blepharoplasty?
Eyelid surgery is a procedure for reshaping the eyelids for functional and / or cosmetic purposes. Removal, repositioning or reshaping of adipose tissue around the eye can give patients more environmental vision and a younger appearance.
Best Candidates for Eyelid Surgery
• Healthy individuals without any health problems that might prevent recovery
• Non-smokers
• Individuals with realistic goals and expectations
• Individuals without serious eye disorders
Upper Eyelid Surgery
In the upper eyelid procedure, an incision is made along the natural wrinkles of the eyelid. It then repositions oil deposits to give your eyes a natural, younger look. This procedure is usually performed with mild sedation and local anesthesia.
Lower Eyelid Surgery
The lower eyelid surgery includes an incision just below the lower eyelashes or inside the lower eyelid to hide the scar. As in the upper eyelid procedure, excess skin is discarded and the oil can be repositioned or removed. An alternative lower eyelid procedure uses a transconjunctival incision made inside the lower eyelid.
